AC/DC BOSTON
IF YOU WANT BLOG, YOU GOT IIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!
Did that really happen?? The biggest, baddest, loudest rock show went off in Boston last night like a five-alarm fire, gutting our city, turning an otherwise quiet Sunday into the most unholy night. Yar! I'm talkin about scorched earth, the thunder of guns, burning cougars, two runners in my panty-hose and sixteen years in hell! I'm talking about the almighty AC/FREAKIN/DC! Bow down all of you.
You ask me bout the clothes I wear? John Papelbon mini, black AC/DC tee shirt (two-sizes-too-small), denim vest, black news-boy cap (in solidarity with BRIAN), half pound of jewelry..mostly chains, and high-hell dirty black motorcycle boots! Head-to-ho rock wear for maximum mobility, minimum humility.
It all started at 5:00 when I met my dudes and cougs at The Harp, a nasty little bar across from The Gahden. The big'n guarding the door carded me. Yeah, the first touch was too much!! The place was packed, natch. Dude to coug ratio? 10 to 1 easy, so sleazy! The awesome tribute band Back In Black fired up the crowd with a wall of Marshall stacks, a few mini-cannons, a hairy bag pipe player, and an old-school set list including Rock n Roll Damnation, High Voltage, Jailbreak, Problem Child and many more. Check their myspace for dates! BACK IN BLACK
Who was there?
In fits and starts, we headed over to the Garden at 7:00. The paperless ticket line was out the door, around the building, all the way to the central ahtery. Exsqueeze me?! The line did go pretty fast but wtf? Thank dawg it wasn't raining!
THE ANSWER warmed up the crowd with some Celtic pride, a center part and a lotta hair! Love the rockers who play in street clothes. Just do your thang Bud.
Check THE ANSWER for deets.
OY! After a quick changeover, AC/DC hit the stage with all cylinders firing. I was too awestruck to fully engage. I just stood there with my jaw hanging open, trying not to blink. It was hard to believe it was actually happening in real time, right in front of me! About half way through the show, I went blind for a few seconds. Luckily, I got my sight back because I am now functionally deaf.

Aerocarol and I took a million pictures. Her's are the clear, perfect ones. Mine are the dark, blurry ones. Why? Because the bitch scored a front row ticket off Ticketmaster at 4:30 yesterday afternoon and left me back in the 12th row mindin' my own. Gawd love er. No one deserves it more (besides me). And speaking of AERO, was TYLER there? Even though HE has said many times that AC/DC is his favorite band, I didn't see STEVEN TYLER last night. JOE FKN PERRY, THE K MAN, and TOM HAMILTON were all there, rocking out togther with various friends and family, in the loge, stage right.
VIDEO!! SHOOT TO THRILL
Great show.. great night... great blog.

Hey Marge!
Thanks for the show review of last night in Boston. I'm still in shock over seeing them in Chicago, and haven't even posted all my pictures. Was it real or just a dream! Long love AC/DC! :)

Thanks for your nice words Lisa! All the best to you and yours. SWAK!
OY! The Trio! At first, I only saw the two grrls having fun with each other..whatevs. Then the dude came back from his beer run and he was all over the little one.. so I just figured the two grrls were VERY close friends but that the little one was surely with the dude. Then he got in the middle of them and all hell broke loose. So I turned to the lady in the row in front of me, and she goes "They are in LOVE". I thought about asking for a picture for this blog but decided they were just a spec too scary. LOL
The show was NUTS...Angus killed it on the guitar!! Did you notice that nasty trio from Deliverance sitting next to you?
Ahhhhhh...vicarious living at its finest! I've got the chillbumps to prove it. So nice to know Beantown was rockin it hard with the boys from down unduh! It does my heart gooooood. Lovin' those photos!
Marge, in the spirit of Thanksgiving this month, surely I am thankful for your work here. I wish you the greatest of holiday blessings!
Your faithful Floridian coug,
Lisa
